Lawn Care in Parkland, FL
Estate-lot fertilization, weed and palm programs for Parkland's newer communities.
Local turf care
Parkland's Trusted Weed Control & Fertilization Team
Parkland is Broward's newest large-lot city: master-planned communities from the 1990s through the 2010s, half-acre and larger lots, strict associations and a lot of Empire Zoysia alongside the Floratam. The western edge sits on wet ground at the conservation boundary.
Big new lawns on shallow fill need root-zone attention and a calendar the association can see. Our Parkland program is pre-emergent early, feeding before the county blackout, Zoysia-specific rates where they apply, and fungus prevention timed to the turf type.

What Parkland Lawns Are Up Against
Zoysia in the newer builds
Much of western Parkland is Empire Zoysia. Lower nitrogen, potassium-forward feeding, a lower cut and earlier large-patch prevention than St. Augustine — and hunting billbug scouting in summer.
Large lots on shallow fill
Half-acre lawns over fill hold little water or nutrient. Slow-release feeding, irrigation audits and root-zone soil testing matter more than volume.
Lake lots and buffers
Fertilizer stays ten feet off the water by Broward rule; deflector spreading and slow-release product keep the lake clean and the lawn fed.
Wet western ground
Lots at the conservation edge stay saturated in the rainy season. Irrigation has to drop to near zero from June through September or root rot follows.
Timing matters
Getting the Timing Right in Parkland
February: pre-emergent
Full-sun Parkland lawns germinate goosegrass early; pre-emergent is down by mid-February.
Spring: feeding window
Broward County restricts nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer on lawns from June 1 through September 30 and keeps it ten feet back from any lake or canal, so the feeding that carries a lawn through summer has to go down before June. Zoysia and Floratam get separate rates.
Summer: pests, disease, minimal water
Chinch bugs and webworms on St. Augustine, billbug on Zoysia, gray leaf spot after storms. Controllers should be nearly off in the wettest weeks.
October to November: harden and prevent
Potassium in October; large-patch prevention in November, with Zoysia often needing it first.

“My lawn was in bad shape. Spoke with Liam & Mike and they broke down their process in an easily understandable way. Great communication, responsive and professional. I’ve had bad experiences in the past. Glade Palm has restored my faith.”
“Glade Palm is the best pest control company I’ve dealt with, have been working with them for months and anytime I had any problems they came out diagnosed and treated the problem! Most times on a few hours notice. Highly recommend reaching out to them.”
